"The Kitchen Table Gang is a rag-tag bunch of military type retirees trying to make life a more pleasant for our hospitalized veterans, some of whom are long-term patients that really don't have much to do while they are in a VA or military medical facility and at times it can be really bleak and boring. Often the long-term care patients don't have any family or friends nearby.We are also trying to prevent VA hospital closures! The Kitchen Table Gang is trying to fill this void by providing hospitalized veterans with a little R & R in the form of magazines, newspapers, playing cards, "back-scratchers," warm cotton socks, greeting cards, care packages, etc. I'm sure you get the picture of what we are trying to do for these veterans -perhaps a buddy of yours!"
