Toward the end of his tour with A Company 1/61 in Vietnam Mike Stanley was chosen to serve as a Security Guard with 45 pistol and night stick which beats an M-16 and a short timers stick.
After Vietnam Mike became a volunteer fire fighter in his home town of Salisbury, MO and while fighting a brush fire had a heart attack and died. He is survived by his wife Jaleta Stanley.
